" Common Indoor and Outdoor Plants That Are Toxic for Dogs"

If you love your golden, you should be careful about the plants you grow in your garden or keep in your house. Some plants are toxic to dogs and can cause serious health problems or even death.

One of the most dangerous plants for dogs is the sago palm, which is often used as an ornamental shrub. Every part of the plant is poisonous, especially the seeds, which can cause liver failure and bleeding disorders.

Another plant to avoid is the castor bean or castor oil plant, which contains

ricin, a highly toxic protein. Ingesting even a small amount of the seeds or leaves can cause vomiting, diarrhea, seizures, and organ damage.

Flowering plants like amaryllis, cyclamen, daffodil, hyacinth, and mistletoe irritate dogs' mouth, stomach, skin, and heart.

Even some plants that are beneficial to humans, such as aloe vera, can be toxic to dogs. Aloe vera contains saponin, a chemical that can cause gastrointestinal upset, lethargy, tremors, and changes in urine color and consistency.

check labels, keep plants away, and call vet if golden eats them. As we know our goldens LOVE to put everything in their mouths!
